COSAS PARA LA MESA – SCRAMBLED !

April 22, 2009 · 3 Comments

This game asks, “Which of the following items would you want to find at your mesa (table) at un restaurante?  “Actually, as I checked out this game further, I think there is an error.  It looks to me like a matching game.  If you print this out, you can then match up side A to side B, but there is no answer key so you will have to bring your sheet in to class for me to check it once you do it. Then I will give you credit.  (Or you can hand write the Enlish word and the translation in Spanish next to it.) Be sure to note that these words are scrambled up and you can’t read straight across to see what each word means.  This sounds complicated, but since you already know these words it should actually be kind of fun, so go ahead and give it a try!  Haz click on the word table that follows en español: MESA if you would like to give this a  try!

Los Objetos de la Clase – JUEGOS (Games)

November 15, 2008 · 16 Comments

Here is a link that has several games that use some (not all) of the classroom objects that we have studied.  Note that they use the term: “una caja de tiza.”  That means “a box of chalk.”  Be sure to look at the “list of terms used in these activities” above the peach colored box before you play any of the games.  Also, it looks to me like the flashcard activity is just for review and not really a game…let me know if you figure out that it really is a game!  The other ones look like games you’ll recognize.

The Weather – El Tiempo

November 22, 2008 · 21 Comments

One of the next things we’ll be learning about is the weather.  If you would like to get a head start, here are some “Quia” games similar to the classroom object ones below.  You will also learn the four seasons and a few expressions that are not in your manual.  Be sure to go over the “list of terms” in blue above the peach box as you have not yet learned these words.  In fact,  you may have to keep referring to the words in this list until you become more familiar with them.

This is the first time I have posted vocabulary that we have never done in class.  Let me know if this is too challenging or a fun way to get a head start.

To get to the games, click on the words that follow in Spanish: el tiempo
